I planned on taking the week of Thanksgiving off. Because, Thanksgiving.
But then I got COVID.
The circumstances surrounding my positive COVID diagnosis don’t really matter, but I will say this - I am vaccinated, wear a mask whenever necessary, and have generally avoided large gatherings for almost the last two years.
But I still got a breakthrough case. And it sucked.
I’ve been out of the woods for a while now, I even got a booster, but I’m taking a slow and steady approach to getting back to my podcast and my substack.
The Plan
With a New Year upon us, new plans emerge, some of them lofty, some of them reachable, and all of them run the risk of turning into failures. I’ve got a giant pile of failures behind me, and only a handful of successes in front of me.
This year will be no different.
I’ve set some goals (I refuse to call them resolutions), and I’ll keep most of them to myself. But for this corner of the Internet in particular, I have a goal that will keep me writing at least once per week for the entire year.
First and second posts will show up next week. And then one per week until the end of the year. I have everything mapped out, so hopefully, with that set up, I will be able to stay on track.
Rather than let the cat out of the bag completely, I’ll leave this with a bit of a tease: It involves music.
Until then…
